Assistants and Technical Assistant Jobs in GIDS

Applications are invited for the following posts of Research Assistants and Technical Assistant purely on contractual basis for a period of two years, likely to continue in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs.4200/- and allowances as per rules of the Institute. 

1. Research Assistants


  Essential Qualifications:
i) Masters Degree in Social Sciences or statistics (at least 55% of marks for general
candidates and 50% of marks for SC candidates) with good academic record.
         Desirable Qualifications:
i) Two years research experiences such as data collection, field survey supervision, and
preparation of survey tools, literature review, tabulation and data processing in a reputed
research organization or University.
ii) Preference will be given to candidates with M. Phil. /Ph.D. degree and research
publications.

         Essential Qualifications:
i) Masters Degree in Social Sciences or Statistics or MCA (at least 55% of marks for
general candidates and 50% of marks for SC candidates) with good academic record.
ii) Sound knowledge of statistical package for social science research such as SPSS,
STATA, Eview, SAS, etc. Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge
of Computer Hardware and Software.
      Desirable Qualifications:
i) Two years experience of research and data processing in a reputed research
organizations or University department. Preference will be given to candidates with
M. Phil./Ph.D. Degree and research publications.
