 Assistant Engineer (Mechanical )
Vacancy: 50
Pay Band: RS 15,600 –RS 39,100
Grade Pay: RS 5,400
Educational Qualification: Full Time 4 years’’ B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering)) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Mechanical Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs.. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01.01.2015 for all the posts with relaxation of 3 Years for OBC (A) & OBC (B) and 5 Years for SC & ST candidates of West Bengal only.
Application Fee: RS 400/-
Mode of Selection : Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016 score of the candidates in the concerned disciplines.Only GATE-2016 score is valid for this recruitment exercise in WBSEDCL under this notification. Score from GATE-2015 or from any previous GATE examination is not valid.

Educational Qualification: 3 (Three) Years regular full time Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a Govt. recognized Indian university/Institute and possessing Boiler Competency Certificate with class as prescribed by the Boiler Authority of the State.
Experience: For candidates possessing Diploma or Matric with ITI (Fitter) & holding Boiler Competency Certificate, no experience shall be required.  For candidates possessing a Diploma : Minimum one year post qualification experience in operation/maintenance of industrial Boiler/HRSG / Thermal Power Station (DM plant /RO Plant / Air Compressors /Steam Turbines / Gas turbines/ Cooling tower / RO Plant / Air compressor in Petroleum Refinery / Petrochemicals / Heavy Chemical / Fertilizers / Power Plants / *large industrial establishments.
